Back then in 2017/2018, Rachelle main research is based on Texture. It is a distinguished surface quality of a work of art. Texture is an element that she uses to depict depth and dimension in most of her works It creates a stimulated sense of how the object feels: soft, smooth, hard, rough, sharp, etc... Rachelle's sketchbook shows a series of values in lines and layers. To get an impressive texture, she scratched those from flat surfaces.
The History of Time is a great subject that connects to the elements of design which is: Texture. Viewers are able to head their attention to the butterfly detail or the traditional dress worn by the girl. Rachelle has a strong belief in design composition, and so she would choose to make things visually balance.
